Book Launch + Q&A with Arch MacDonnell of Inhouse: The Chair

Celebrate the official launch of The Chair: A story of design and making in Aotearoa and hear from publication designer Arch MacDonnell of Inhouse.

The most ambitious Objectspace publication to date, The Chair is a vital record of our material culture as told by 110 chairs across 170 years.

Designed by Inhouse, The Chair book features new writing on each of the 110 chairs included in the exhibition and photographs taken across the country: together telling a story of design and making in Aotearoa.

Inhouse's design of this exhibition and book is what has given The Chair its voice. During this celebration, a Q&A between Objectspace Director Kim Paton and Arch MacDonnell will share insights into the design thinking and process.
