The international judge on Home of the Year 2019, Cabral will talk about regional architecture and the work of her firm Gabinete de Arquitectura.

Cabral is one of South America’s brightest young architects – last year she was awarded the Moira Gemmill Prize for Emerging Architecture at the Women in Architecture Awards, and in 2016 she won the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture. From her studio in Asunción, Paraguay, Cabral designs buildings in rough brick, often using parabolic arches and screens that defy their own weight.
