Join us to create improvised mini quilts inspired by the geometry and construction methods of Esther Stewart’s I was moving too fast to see.
This architectural installation by Stewart is a modularised construction. Using the language of fabric – tabs, casings and plackets – each panel, Stewart has created a kit of parts for relocation.
Looking to Stewart’s kit for inspiration, you’ll make and walk away with a mini-quilt – the perfect wall hanging or prototype for a future piece you can make with the skills you’ve picked up.
This workshop will be run by experienced crafters Bronwyn Lloyd and Olivia Stewart.
No quilting experience is required although some sewing experience is welcomed! Come as you are, all materials are included. This workshop is not suitable for people under 16 years old.
tickets are $50 and you can book here
