Join us for the launch of Minarets Issue 9 alongside Auckland based poetry publisher Compound Press.

As Emily Dickinson said: “If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.” Or maybe George Romero: “I’m like my zombies. I won’t stay dead!”

Minarets Issue 9 features collaborative “exquisite corpse” poems by 30 writers Frankenstein’d together by ringmaster Craig Foltz. Organ donors from NZ and abroad include Anna Jackson, Steph Burt, Lisa Samuels, Pam Brown, Trey Sager, Quintan Wikswo, and more. A new chapbook, Mitochondrial Eve, by poet and musician Kirsten Warner will also be launched.
