Blue Flower Texts is a bookshop project based in Ōtautahi. We sell publications from interesting imprints with a focus on independently published art, design, fashion, theory and experimental fiction titles.
ISLAND is a culture magazine, made up of some of Aotearoa’s foremost content makers with intense curiosity, critical thinking and global outlooks.
ISLAND’s focus is on people. Interesting people doing things well and with integrity. We love our country and its cultural quirks. ISLAND is a reflection of what makes us "us".
With a wealth of international experience in fashion, art, design and publishing, ISLAND is helmed by editor-in-chief Yasmine Ganley, alongside creative director Adam Bryce and art director Sara Black.
An independent publisher, writer, and brand consultant based in New Zealand, ISLAND's Editor-In-Chief Yasmine Ganley is employed for her entrepreneurial spirit, creative generosity, and ability to push interesting conversations forward. Always in pursuit of the exploration and exchange of ideas, she attracts and motivates a circle of women from around the globe who contribute to her various commercially-exempt projects, including online platform anyonegirl.com and the printed journal WAIST.
